Skin Checks

Kardinia Health Skin Clinic is offers a complete skin check. Conducted by our specially trained GPs, using our state-of-the-art facilities, each individual freckle or mole is inspected to distinguish ‘normal’ pigmentation from cancerous or pre-cancerous spots.

The skin check is conducted using a dermatoscope – a non-invasive dermatological light that gives a clear image of pigmented lesions. This helps us identify normal moles from those that should be removed or biopsied.
We recommend skin photography for people with a number of moles, this helps determine any changes in the skin over a period of time.
