Dr Jane Goddard

Jane has worked in regional and remote general practice for most of her professional life, from regional towns in NSW and Victoria to the icy reaches of Antarctica.
She has been actively involved over the years in quality use of medicines, medical education and evidence based care. She has extensive clinical experience in all spheres of general practice, but in particular, women’s health, chronic and complex disease management and mental health.
Jane trained initially at the Geelong Hospital but left the region in the early 1990s, returning in 2019. For many years she practised in the Riverina region of NSW. There she did general practice, military medicine (at Australia’s RAAF and Army recruit training bases), and ran a women’s health clinic.
She has been involved in her PHN in the areas of governance, quality practice, research and innovation.
She is glad to be back where she can sniff the salt sea air and amble on the banks of the beautiful Barwon River.
