Tanya graduated from Monash University in 1996, and spent a few years dabbling in various hospital specialities before deciding that general practice provided the best breadth of medicine and suited her need to have meaningful conversations as part of her work. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of GPs and a registered provider of Focussed Psychological Strategies. While her special interests are in optimising mental health and providing wholistic care, with a healthy lifestyle at the core, she enjoys providing the full range of care that general practice offers.
Tanya’s other work role is as a medical educator, helping to train new GPs.
Outside of medicine Tanya is a foodie who likes to cook, grow veggies (not always successfully!) and keep active. (Her current pet hate is weeding.)
