Alba grew up in the small town of Breamlea, near Torquay, and went to school in Geelong. She then moved to Melbourne to study Medicine at Monash University, graduating in 2016 with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor or Surgery, with Honours. She trained in the rural stream, travelling across the Victoria and the country, studying in places like Mildura, Swan Hill, Bendigo, remote Northern Territory and Perth. 

After graduating Alba returned to Geelong for internship and then moved to Warrnambool Hospital for 2 years. While in Warrnambool Alba practiced as an Obstetrics and Gynaecology registrar and is currently completing her Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics. She is keen to continue honing her skills in Women’s Health, enjoys working with children, and is accredited to provide Obstetric shared care with Barwon Health. 

Alba has worked for a year as a GP registrar in 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed the ability to form long term relationships with her patients. She is interested in furthering her skills in sexual health and LGBTQI+ medicine as well as extending her skills in Mirena and Implanon insertion, among other things.”
